I am employed as Coordinator of the Interpreter Preparation/Deaf Studies Program at the College of Southern Nevada. I am the owner of Preston Bass Interpreting Services, serving Nevada and California. In addition to my full-time employment, I taught American Sign Language classes at various schools for over 30 years and performed with the “Interpresingers,” a traveling song-sign troupe.  I am a recipient of the 2006 Lou Fant Distinguished Service Award from SCRID and the 2023 Distinguished Service Award from Children of Deaf Adults (CODA). I hold certifications from the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf as follows: Masters Comprehensive Skills Certificate; Specialist Certificate: Legal; Oral Interpreting Certificate: Comprehensive, and the National Interpreter Certificate.
